Belgian M 1848 Thouvenin Jaeger carbine bayonet (ABCN1953)(K 1007)(JN 15-1)

Belgian Thouvenin Jaeger carbine Kal. 17,5 mm. No serial number. Very good bright finished very long (739 mm) fullered straight blade. Blade shows very fine scratches allover only, due to incorrect cleaning, but there is no pitting!. Beautiful brass ribbed grip with a large pommel and an external leave spring. Excellent blued steel crossguard with a straight quillon marked J facing the grip.
Very large muzzle ring MRD 20 mm. 
The extremely rare brown leather scabbard is missing. It comes with its brass scabbard top mount only.

With the exception of the J marking, there are absolute no markings or a date to this bayonet. 
It must be possible to improve the blade with a fine polishing paste and a lot of patience. Hence the low price!
