German (Saxony) Police NCO sword knot. (Portopee). Very good aluminium and green sword knot without a stem. Green core and silver band with green stripes.
Worn slide. The sword knot shows some patina.
This type of sword knot was called a "Portopee" and was carried by Police NCO's on swords during the Imperial time, the Weimar Republic and WW1
