Belgian Mauser Rifle M 1935 and M 1889/36 short rifle. Kal. 7.65. Serial number: 29440 on crossguard. Excellent blued double edged crudely made "fish bone" blade. C in a circle marking on the ricasso. Excellent blued pommel and crossguard with bushed muzzle ring: MRD 15.4 mm. Crossguard is marked: H in a circle and facing the grip with a large: M. Excellent wooden grips. Excellent blackened metal scabbard with oval frog stud with serial number 66063. There is a small single dent on the front side only. Not very serieus. . Belgium M 1889/16 Mauser bayonet made in France by Belgian makers during WWI and used as an "ersatz" bayonet during WWI. After 1918 bushed to 15.4 mm fit the 1935/36 FN rifles and carbines and reused again in WWII.! This bayonet has seen two wars!
