English M 1907 bayonet by EFD. First model, quillon removed. (ABCN 1024)(K317)(JN57-4)
British Lee Enfield (SMLE) No.7 rifle. First pattern, modified. Quillon removed. Excellent parkerized fullered blade, first 2 cm blackened. Crown over ER, 1907, date: 3 -'09, maker marked: EFD (=ENFIELD) and two Enfield inspection markings on the ricasso. More issue dates: '09, '10 and '13 on the ricasso and clear British inspection marks: Crown over VI over E. /I\ X and Crown over E3 over E, Crown over A6 over E, and two more on the reverse side. There is another issue date: '23. Very good walnut grips, showing some light abuse. Very nice blued crossguard and pommel. Oil hole in pommel.
Excellent black leather Mk I scabbard, all stitches intact. Excellent blued fittings with no dents. Leather body is crisp marked with a broad arrow /I\ and a capital W . Round frog stud and three rivets in the top mount.
Well marked early No.7 bayonet. Arsenal refurbished (Parkerized and blued) between the two wars in 1923.
