Description
Italian produced Garand rifle. BM 59. s# 43175 on pommel. Very nice crudely made bright finished fullered blade with SP.1 (Senapan Panjang 1= Long rifle 1)and Indonesian maker's logo(=Bandung Weapons Factory) on reverse site of ricasso. Blade with false edge and rounded fullers. Excellent bright finished pommel with T-slot and crossguard with large muzzle ring. MRD 22 mm. Very good fine chequered black plastic wraparound grips secured to the tang by two screws. Very nice black painted metal scabbard with the typical small round frog stud with no dents.
Rare Indonesian made experimental bayonet. Quite scarce.
