Mexican Mauser M 1912. Serial number  F 26009 on pommel. Excellent bright fullered blade. Long bright pommel with TO slot. Excellent bright finished crossguard with a muzzle ring: MRD 15,5 mm. Very good wooden grips secured to the blade tang by two screw bolts and oil hole. Total length 384 mm. The Excellent and correct blued all metal scabbard with no dents is marked on the oval frog stud F 01037.
Comes with its very good black leather bayonet frog as found. There is a small repair and a tear above the frog stud opening

This is an Austrian export bayonet and part of a Mexican contract prior to WWI. Due to the outbreak of WWI, these were never delivered to Mexico but used on the Austrian-Italian Alpine frontline during WWI by Austrian volunteer units.
