Mauser 98 rifle and carbine. Excellent dark blued reversed fullered blade. E- Romanian CM mark (=Copsa Mica Arsenal in Cugir)- '34 on ricasso and CSZ the reverse side. Very nicely dark blued pommel and crossguard, muzzle ring partly removed.("Long ears"!).T/O slot in pommel. Z in circle stamp (=BRNO arsenal made) on the crossguard. Very nice wooden grips with oil hole, screwed to the tang. Black painted metal scabbard with CSZ - Romanian CM-mark - E4- mark and a Czechian Rampant lion- '34 on frog stud. Unit marking on one side of the frog stud. BR. 6 . 108 (see picture) No dents.

This is an in the thirties produced Czechoslovakian VZ24 export bayonet. It was exported in the white to Romania and there reworked i.e. blued. Later is was altered by the Germans by removing a part of the muzzle ring.
Clear German modification, but no German markings.
A very interesting bayonet!
