Description
Lanchester SMG. Serial number in Arabic on crossguard. Very good fullered parkerized blade with crown over GR, 1907 and dated: 3 '15 and makers logo: EFD (ENFIELD) on ricasso. Reverse side of ricasso shows two similar Enfield inspection markings; crown over 8E, an X, Broad arrow and a small Egyptian inspection mark. Very good crossguard with Egyptian marking; " I ζ V, MRD 16,6 mm. Very nice wooden grips. Black leather scabbard with metal fittings with all stitches intact. Scabbard throat marked with Egyptian markings.
Comes with an excellent grey P37 khaki frog as found
Not a common bayonet.
