Uruquayan M 1908 bayonet (Ref. 0)
Uruquay M 1908 Mauser rifle, 7 mm. Serial number 3263 on crossguard. Excellent bright finished fullered blade with no maker markings. Blade spine is marked 5 and 3. Blade lenght 28 cm. Bright pommel and crossguard with muzzle ring MRD 15.5 mm. No visible rivets in the crossguard. Crossguard is marked 10 facing the grip and facing the blade 6. Pommel with T/O slot. Wooden grips fixed to the blade tang by rivets. Oil hole in grips. Very good blackened metal scabbard with German type frog stud marked with serial number 2283. No markings and one tiny dent on the reverse side.
Total lenght 415 mm. Blade lenght 298 mm.
According the serial number and other numbers, this bayonet was used by Uruquay and was made in Belgium or Germany.
